Under the thematic umbrella RISK, Luleå Art Biennial, LAB09 invites proposals for works/projects for its 14th edition opening June 17 2009.

Luleå Art Biennial encourages the production of new works. For this edition, LAB09 aims to realize approximately 25 new works of art, selected from proposals responding to the thematic framework specified in the current call for proposals.

Curator
Jan-Erik Lundström is the curator of Luleå Art Biennial 2009. Jan-Erik Lundström the Director of Bildmuseet, Umeå university, Umeå, Sweden. He has curated several biennials around the world; the latest being Bucharest Biennial 3. He is the author of numerous art books and has been guest professor at many art academies in Europe.
