Pantabangan Mayor Lucio Uera and Sangguniang Bayan members inaugurated recently the town’s first welcome arch between Barangay Ganduz and Rizal town, featuring the image of the legendary local hero Minggan, with the inscription “Ang Bayan ni Minggan”.

The landmark was designed by Arch. Rommel Dullas and sculpted by Romulo Dullas, with Elito ''Amang Pintor'' Circa providing the original image of Minggan on which the sculpture was based, and the folk hero’s legend which has been inscribed in marble.

Circa is credited with having popularized the image of Minggan through a series of painting exhibitions and theatrical and video presentations. He even managed to secure a copyright for the name in the Philippines and internationally.
