Her New Home

As she glances at the window panes;

Seems waiting for someone to come in;

Her gestures can be mean something;

Either confused or wants some foods;

Her frail body looks tired or dizzy;

Skin hanging from her bones;

Smiles are gone from her aging face;

She can be a day unspoken;

Wailing like a child in her nursing bed;

It maybe from loneliness or sickness;

Clinging her hands to a caregiver;

She mumbles her brother's and Tatay as if they are around;

Whose been long gone down the grave;

Her tear flows as she calls her father's name;

Daydreaming of the old town;

Her strong willed and self disciplined nature;

Is now empty sitting on a wheelchair who knows how long?

What else she can do trapped on a four walls bedroom;

Memory is lost energy is burnt;

Like a prisoner in her new home;

I remember as a child;

When she bakes whole night long;

Waiting and watching till it's done;

Without an hour sleep;

She enable to prepared breakfast of
